As I get older, my gait too slow to run, while others see me failing, you'll see me forever young. A gift at Christmas, joy as the day begun, hearts of children jumping, Oh, I'm forever young. Strolling in the dales, racing home unleashed I run, never old in your mind, being chased forever young. Retrieving tennis balls, basketballs when flung, tripping one at second base, racing home, forever young. So, when I can't sit, shake or rollover for fun, in death I'll be finish here, heavens reward, forever young. |
