"On The Wing"

Answers to questions:

Who are you, really?

This question was asked in a philosophy class. We all have different beliefs but are we that different? Do we really know who we are as individuals?

What? I have to admit that this question made me smile.

Philosophy is quite wacky but I'll bite.

Since we are on a "religious" forum; I'll answer in that context:
1. I'll mention two of the most important traits we all share.
2. The most important way we may differ.
3. Who I am.

1. The first universal trait that we share is a sin nature. The secular world puts it this way; Well, no body's perfect!" This is true, even though we use it as an excuse.

We share imperfection :
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12

2. Did you notice the second universal trait we share in the passage above?

We share an appointment with death :
As gloomy as it is, we must face it and be ready "when" it happens.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:27-28

This passage (above) leads into what may "uniquely and distinctly" set us apart. If you have trusted The Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior then we are alike; you are a brother or sister of mine, in Christ. On the other hand, we may be as far apart as Heaven and Hell.

3. Conclusion: Who am I? A follower of The Lord Jesus Christ.
